Triton Wins First Game Of Softball Sectional

BOURBON - The Triton Trojans won their first game of Triton softball sectional, beating Westville 7-4 Monday.

Bethany Kern got the win for Triton. Jessica Ganshorn had a double while Jessica Calvert had two doubles.

The Trojans, 10-16 on the season, will take on Michigan City Marquette, which beat Argos 5-2.TRITON 7, WESTVILLE 4

Monday in LaGrange

The Wawasee Warriors ended their season with a 10-0 loss to West Noble in the Lakeland Sectional Monday. Ashley Sharp had two hits in the loss. Shelby Willard took the loss on the mound for Wawasee. The Warriors finished the season at 6-20 overall.

The West Noble Chargers topped Wawasee 5-3. Devin Kneller earned the loss for Wawasee. Mike Milligan had a hit and RBI for Wawasee while Jose Rodriguez had a hit. The Warriors fell to 7-17 on the season.

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings finished fifth out of seven teams in the Peru Invitational Saturday at Rock Hollow. Peru won with a 322 while Valley shot a 356. Trey Stull led the way for Valley with an 84. The Vikings are in action today at Rozella Ford against Triton.
