LAKEVILLE - The Triton Trojan basketball team won its fourth straight game Saturday, thanks to the help of a big first half.
Triton, who beat LaVille 75-56, outscored the Lancers 19-9 in the first quarter and 19-8 in the second quarter to take a 38-17 halftime lead.
The Trojans hit 21 of 42 shots from the floor.
They held a big advantage at the free throw line, where they made 29 free throws to LaVille's 13.
The Trojans could have made even more, however, as they went to the line 43 times in the game. LaVille was 13 of 19 from the line.
Guard Jeff Rupe, who hit 11 of 12 free throws, led Triton with 21 points.
Cory Monesmith added 14 points and led the Trojans with five rebounds. Philip Reed chipped in 14 points and four assists.
Triton, 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Northern State Conference, is at Plymouth on Friday.
