AKRON – Triton didn’t lose a set, and the Lady Trojan singles players lost only three games in six sets, as they beat Tippecanoe Valley 5-0 in a tennis match Wednesday. Shayla May won at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0 over Aerin Shewman. Kolbie Mason shut out Maddie Henninger at No. 2, and Quinn Downing dropped one game in two sets in beating Lea Stouder. The doubles matches lasted a little longer, with Emma Ross and Hannah Wanemacher beating Morgan Brazo and Brooke Danner 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1. Tatum Thompson and Megan McFarland won 6-1, 6-4 over Cassidy Cave and Tiphanie Hodge. Valley (0-1) will play at Knox today, and Triton (2-0) will play in the Plymouth Invitational on Saturday.
