NAPPANEE - The Triton Trojan boys' basketball team shot 56 percent from the field and 94 percent from the free throw line en route to a 68-58 Friday win over NorthWood.
The Trojans made 23 of 41 field goal attempts and 17 of 18 free throw attempts. Point guard Jeff Rupe made of 7 of 11 field goal attempts and 8 of 8 free throw attempts to lead Triton with 22 points.
Philip Reed added 16 points, and Cory Monesmith scored 11.
Triton sealed the win by outscoring NorthWood 20-12 in the fourth quarter.
NorthWood is 0-1.
Triton, 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Northern State Conference, is at LaVille tonight.
