Triton Spikes New Prairie

BOURBON - Megan Sarber and Jena Weissert had five kills each as Triton improved to 4-2 in the conference with a 15-5, 15-4 victory over New Prairie on Tuesday.

Kendra Blackford added seven assists and Heather Barron dished out six more in the win. Sarber led the team with five aces.

In the junior varsity match, Triton lost a three setter 15-13, 3-15, 15-10 to New Prairie. Rachel Speicher had eight kills, and Brandie Ganshorn added 17 assists. Emily Yankovich had four aces, and Janell Salisbury had two more.

The Triton junior varsity team is now 9-4 overall.

Triton (21-5) will be at Jimtown on Thursday.

Wawasee Over

West Noble 15-9, 15-10

At Ligonier, Kara Mathew had 11 kills, 12 digs and six blocks as Wawasee picked up a win on Tuesday.

Lydia Carpenter helped out with 11 kills and seven blocks and Sara Frantz had 24 assists and five digs. Andrea VanCleave also had five kills and seven digs.

In the junior varsity match, the Warriors won 15-9, 15-7. Andrea Gingerich led the team in kills with eight and Emily Cline added three more. Jennifer Mason had 15 assists and Amber Ramseyer had three aces. Wawasee improved to 5-12 on the year.

Wawasee (17-13) will host NorthWood on Thursday.

Warsaw Over Huntington North 18-16, 15-10

At Huntington, Warsaw improved to .500 on the season.

Nancy Mason had eight kills and six digs and Alyssa Raphael had seven kills and seven digs. Brooke Sutton had five kills and two aces, while Shanna Smith added five kills, nine digs and four aces. Karla Bailey had 15 assists and Jessica Zaugg had 12 more.

In junior varsity, Warsaw moved to 17-7 on the year and 6-1 in the conference with a 15-8, 15-10 win. Megan Burns had six kills and Nerecia Taylor had five kills and eight blocks. Ryann Jones had three kills and Andrea Wilka had three blocks and seven digs. Amee Poling had seven digs and Jennifer Kern had three aces. Kyla Stanley and Christy Colt each had two aces.

Warsaw (13-13, 3-2) will be at Concord on Thursday.

Wawasee 1, NorthWood 0

At Syracuse, Katie Brown scored a goal off of an assist from Laura Karns as Wawasee won on Tuesday. The Warriors are now 3-10 on the season.

NorthWood will host Northridge on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
