The sixth-grade teachers at Triton were recently trained in a new sixth-grade Junior Achievement program. Nicole Penar, from Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana and JA Biz Town program manager, visited Triton to prepare the teachers for implementing the program in their classes this year. Pictured are sixth-grade teachers Teresa Watkins, Karyn McFarland and Adam Heckaman with Penar (at the head of the table). After the classroom lessons are completed, the Triton sixth-graders will have a field trip to Biz Town in Fort Wayne. At Biz Town each student will have a community ‘job’ that they do for a day to better understand how a community depends on everyone to function.
