Triton Hosting Financial Aid Night Jan. 6 For Seniors

Posted
BOURBON - Triton High School is hosting a financial aid night Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. in the high school library for seniors and their parents.

This program will provide financial aid information applicable to anyone planning to attend a post-secondary institution during the 2011-12 school year.Kathy Mills, a financial aid administrator from Ancilla College, will explain how to accurately complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, which is required by most colleges for financial aid consideration. She will troubleshoot the process of filing an electronic FAFSA on the web.

Parents and students should bring the FAFSA on the web worksheets to this meeting. If parents and students prefer to fill out a paper FAFSA instead of the electronic FAFSA on the web, they should download a copy and print it out at www.studentaid.ed.gov by clicking on the Tools and Resources link or call 800-433-3243 to request a copy be sent to them.

Hugh Rettinger, guidance counselor, will give a brief update about local scholarships available to Triton students.
