Triton Girls Lose NSC Battle At Bremen

BREMEN - Two nights after turning the ball over 30 times against 3A No. 1 Tippecanoe Valley, Triton's varsity girls basketball team turned it over 23 times Friday and fell 56-42 at Northern State Conference rival Bremen.

The 14-point loss dropped Triton, ranked No. 7 in 1A, to 6-3 on the season and 1-1 in the NSC. Bremen improved to 4-3, and 2-0.

Triton trailed 18-14 after the first quarter, and was then held to 17 points through the second and third quarters. Host Bremen led 44-31 going into the final frame.

Carly Feldman led Triton with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Holly Heckaman scored nine and Lindsay Stutzman seven.

Both Adrianne Bollenbacher and Kelsey Lakins scored 10 for Bremen.

The Trojans host Fort Wayne Canterbury today.
