Triton 'Energizes Indiana'

Posted
NIPSCO has a program called ‘Energizing Indiana’ to help teach individuals how they can cut energy costs. Last year was Triton Elementary School's first year participating in this energy awareness school program. Triton Elementary fifth grades began the program last week. NIPSCO supplies every fifth-grade child with a ‘kit’ that includes six CFL lightbulbs, an energy saving night light, a thermometer to check their water heater and refrigerator temperature, a kitchen faucet aerator, a furnace filter alarm and a high-efficiency showerhead. Upon completion of the program, students receive a certificate and bracelet. Each fifth-grade teacher receives a $50 grant to use in her classroom. Pictured is fifth-grader Whitnie Miller.
