The annual Drug Abuse Resistance Education graduation at Triton Elementary School was April 14 in the high school auditorium. Officer Haskins from the Bourbon Police Department, and the DARE teacher, presented special certificates and other awards to all members of the fifth-grade class at Triton in recognition of their completion of the training provided by the DARE program. The fifth-grade students all wore their DARE shirts for the program. Pictured are the essay winners from the three fifth-grade classrooms: Hanna Hooley, Justice Keininger and Daisy Dewitt. Hooley was the overall winner for Triton and received the grand prize of the $100 gift card from the Bourbon Police Department. She will represent Triton at the county DARE banquet later this spring.
