This Saturday, June 26, is the annual Warsaw Breakfast Optimist's triathlon in Winona Lake. That means there will be many, many cyclists on the Pierceton Road from Winona Lake to Pierceton and traffic will be very congested.
My plea to all motorists is that everyone will avoid driving on Pierceton Road this Saturday from 8-11 a.m. Please don't go there on Saturday.
The Breakfast Optimists host a fantastic triathlon, with possibly 650-700 cyclists on the road that morning, and the triathletes need everyone's understanding to make this event as safe as possible.
This is a huge fundraiser for the Optimist's programs for children in our area. Help us continue to make this a safe event by avoiding driving in that area on Saturday morning. Thank you very, very much.
