For approximately $1.4 billion in equity and $1 billion in debt, Dallas, Texas-based Triad Hospitals has acquired Quorum Health Group, based in Brentwood, Tenn.
The new ownership of the Lutheran Health Network is expected to start today.
Shareholders of both companies approved the merger Thursday by a majority. Regulatory approval for the acquisition has been granted and paperwork will be signed today.
With the merger, the company will be based in Dallas and retain the Triad name.
Kosciusko Community Hospital is owned by Quorum.
