Treasures For Troops, a soldier support ministry through the First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, has concluded Operation Treat A Soldier.
The community was given the opportunity from Sept. 24 to Oct. 5 to pick up treat bags at designated locations and fill them for deployed service members. There were 384 treat bags that will be sent to 12 soldier groups of the Armed Forces serving in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Treasures For Troops sponsors included Vein Institute and Medical Spa, Warsaw Community Public Library, Outdoor Living Center, Manns Kountry Kitchen and the Silver Lake Post Office for being pick up and drop-off locations.
Pictured this morning are Susan Manns, Treasures For Troops founder; and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department employees taking the items for the soldiers from Manns’ home to the Silver Lake Post Office.
