Traffic Stop Leads To Drug ArrestA South Bend man is facing drug dealing charges after police allegedly located meth during a traffic stop.

Richard G. Larrison, 47, of South Bend, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 9:09 p.m. Feb. 28 and faces charges for dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday in Kosciusko Circuit Court, on Feb. 28 an Indiana State Police trooper pulled over a dark blue Ford Expedition for speeding north on CR 800W.

Police identified Larrison as the driver and also found the license plate on the vehicle returned to a Ford Ranger.

Larrison allegedly admitted from the start that there was a “weed bowl” inside the vehicle, so police called for backup from a K9.

According to the affidavit, police located about 30 grams of methamphetamine, numerous smoking devices, scales and baggies.

Larrison then allegedly told police he had more meth in his wallet, and in there, according to court papers, police found two folded dollar bills that contained meth. Police also confiscated two cell phones.

According to court papers, when the trooper told Larrison he had found a lot of methamphetamine, Larrison said, “it’s a little bit” and admitted that he needed to sell methamphetamine to support his methamphetamine habit.”

According to court records, Larrison was convicted of possession of methamphetamine in 2003 in Elkhart County and possession of a controlled substance in Kosciusko County in 2009.

His bond was set at $5,250.
