Toyota of Warsaw co-owner John Rice found out about his company's recall the same way most of his customers did - on TV.
Tuesday, Toyota announced it would recall approximately 2.3 million vehicles to correct sticking accelerator pedals on the following:
2009-2010 RAV4,
2009-2010 Corolla,
2009-2010 Matrix,
2005-2010 Avalon,
2007-2010 Camry,
2010 Highlander,
2007-2010 Tundra,
2008-2010 Sequoia
Rice said he knew people were concerened and understood those concerns, but he pointed out Toyota's pedal issues haven't affected any vehicles sold at the Warsaw location.
Rice said it's still "business as usual" at the dealership which opened in summer 2009.
Rice noted that a majority of new vehicles are still available, including the Prius, the top-selling hybrid in the world, as well as the Yaris and Tacoma.
Jan uary is typically a slow month for car dealers, and Rice said there hasn't been a noticeable difference in foot traffic at the Warsaw location.
Rice also noted that Toyota of Warsaw shares its location with Rice Ford.
"It's all about information," said Rice.
Rice said customers can stop by or call 866-583-3812.
Rice also said www.toyota.com was a good source of infromation on the recall.
