Township Trustees

Editor, Times-Union:

I am writing in regards to the the local township trustees. I'm not here to be rude or evil in any shape or form. But I just want to know why it is necessary, for whomever it is in charge of helping people in my township, to be rude, unprofessional and just plain evil. Why does this woman insist on humiliating people that are just asking for help?

A close friend of mine goes into this woman's office. She pretty much tells her she's worthless, calling her a worthless mother. She doesn't know the circumstances of these people's situations. I am just curious as why she feels the need to be hurtful to people that are just trying to get help. It just upsets me a little bit.

I called this woman to ask to speak to her supervisor. Some gentleman gets on the phone. And he tells me there is a board of three members that, its seems to me, want to hurt people that really need help. Don't they think it is embarrassing enough? Nooo ... but wait, let's make them feel worse about themselves.

I just do not think it is fair how she treats people. Maybe I'm wrong in assuming that a public service office should be courteous to the needs of others. Am I mistaken, or isn't that what they are here for? I know for one, I'll be voting in this next election.
