Cooperation between two towns and a local company will better ensure fire protection north of Warsaw.
Warsaw Fire Chief Ken Shepherd announced the joint deal between Leesburg Fire Department, Warsaw Fire Department and Da-Lite Screen Company. As a result, "We now have an unlimited source of water in the northern part of the city and Wayne Township," Shepherd said.
Da-Lite installed the fire department connection at the base of their water tower. Leesburg paid for the adaptors, and Warsaw provided the filler hose. Da-Lite provided labor.
Shepherd also said improvements are being made on South Union and North Bay Drive with the help of United Water.
