WINONA LAKE — A pair of athletic tournaments will be hosted by Lakeland Christian Academy this month to help raise money for The Beaman Home, located in Warsaw.
A Kickball Tournament will take place July 20 at LCA, beginning at 9 a.m., at a cost of $35 for 9- to 12-person teams before July 15 and $45 after that date.
On July 27, also at 9 a.m., a Wiffleball Tournament will take place at LCA for $50 per 4- to 6-person teams before July 22 and $60 after that date.
The Beaman Home is hoping to raise $100,000 for its new building, a Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter and Outreach Center.
The K21 Health Foundation has given a grant, which matches any donated money for the renovation and move.
