Top Two Students Named At Triton

BOURBON - Jenna Thomas is the valedictorian for the class of 2004 at Triton Jr.-Sr. High School, and Jeanna Collins is the salutatorian.

Thomas, the daughter of Victoria Thomas and the late Walter Thomas, of Etna Green, was on the all-A honor roll each grading period this year and was the top student in the business and science departments. She was vice president of Triton's chapter of National Honor Society, an officer of the senior class and of Future Business Leaders of America and a student council representative. A graduate of Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy, she also participated in golf and track.

Thomas is a Hoosier Scholar Award winner and also received a Ralph and Lucetta Frantz Scholarship, Murphy College Fund Scholarship and Etna Echo Scholarship.

She plans to attend the University of Tulsa and study psychology.

Collins, the daughter of Gary and Rose Collins, Bourbon, also was on the all-A honor roll this year.

A Hoosier Scholar Award winner, she also received a D. Neil Rettinger Memorial Scholarship. She was a three-year National Honor Society member, student council representative and graduate of KYLA. She was active with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and was on the Triton cross country and track teams.

Collins plans to attend Manchester College and study elementary education.
