Tommy James (above, left) and the Shondells entertained a audience of thousands in Central Park Friday evening during the Classic Rock Concert. The Guitar Woodies were the opening act for the free concert. Dexter Ambrose (above, right) stands a head above the rest while getting an elevated look at the crowd by friend Kathy Clary of Winona Lake. Dexter attended the concert with his mom, Kellen, from Plymouth. The concert is part of the City of Lakes Festival which continues this weekend in Warsaw at the park and airport and in Winona Lake. Tonight the First Presbyterian Church sponsors a free concert with opening band 'downhere' beginning at 7 p.m. and featuring Geoff Moore on the main stage. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
