MENTONE - Todd Peterson, 44, of 8632 E. CR 450N, Mentone, died at 12:08 a.m. June 6, 2009, due to injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident on Ind. 19 south of Mentone.

He was born June 16, 1964, in Rochester, to Richard L. and Jerilyn Craig Peterson, who survive in Mentone. His fiance for more than 12 years was Tina Lloyd, who survives in Mentone.

A 1982 Tippecanoe Valley High School graduate, he was a three-year letterman in baseball and football. He also played on the 1979 Tippecanoe Valley State Champion Football Team. He was employed by the Indiana Department of Transportation where he was a foreman at the Winamac Sub-District Rochester Unit. He was a member of ABATE of Indiana Region 1, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 852, Rochester, and the NRA. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed NASCAR where Dale Sr. and Dale Jr. were his favorite drivers.

Also surviving are three children, Trenton Peterson and twins Taylor and Trey Peterson, all of Mentone; a sister, Diane (and spouse Rod) Eaton, Rochester; a brother, Chris (and spouse Dawn) Peterson, Mentone; two nieces and two nephews; and a grandmother, Elnora Craig, Rochester. He was preceded in death by grandparents Joe and Mary Isabelle Peterson and George Craig.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with Pastor Rodney Ruberg officiating. Burial will be in Sycamore Cemetery, Mentone.
