Tod Allen Ritchison, 44, of Shelbyville, died April 25, 2008, in St. Francis South Campus, Indianapolis, due to complications during surgery.
He was born March 1, 1964, in Warsaw, to W. Deuane and Carolyn Troxel Ritchison. On Sept. 18, 1993, in Ligonier, he married Shari L. Dobrunst, who survives.
He was warehouse manager at Sysco Food Services LLC, Indianapolis, for the past six months, and formerly at Marsh Supermarket Distribution Center, Indianapolis, for three years. He moved to Shelbyville from Topeka seven years ago.
He was a 1983 Warsaw Community High School graduate. Having made the varsity team as a freshman, he played as a guard on the WCHS basketball team and played baseball. He was a member of First Christian Church, Shelbyville. He loved to golf, enjoyed caring for his yard and doing outside work and enjoyed camping. Above all, he was a loving husband and an outstanding daddy who truly cherished the time he spent with them. He will remain in their hearts forever.
Also surviving are a son, Jared Ritchison, 8, at home; a daughter, Madison Ritchison, 9, at home; his mother, Carolyn Ritchison, Etna Green; a brother, Tad Ritchison, Warsaw; a sister-in-law, Lesa Ritchison, Sacramento, Calif; his father- and mother-in-law, Irv and Julia Dobrunst, Ligonier; brother- and sister-in-law, Brian and Jeri Edsall, Kimmell; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, W. Deuane Ritchison, who died March 6, 1999; paternal grandparents, Jesse and Edna Ritchison; and maternal grandparents, James O. and Henrietta Troxel.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Andy Martin of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
