Titus Funeral Home will host local public safety personnel for a luncheon, held in their honor later this month.
“The month of May brings many sure of signs of spring and often the first glimpses of summer but also includes three special events which are sometimes overlooked,” said Titus Funeral Home owner Cory Benz. “May 4th was International Firefighters Day, the week of May 12th is National Police Week and the week of May 19th is National EMS Week. Each of these professional groups (firefighters, police officers and EMS personnel) provide vital services to our community and often do so at the sacrifice of personal family time and under dangerous circumstances. We just want to publicly say thank these special folks and this is one way to do it.”
In addition to the funeral home’s honorary meal, the staff is encouraging Kosciusko residents to light their homes in red, blue or red, white and blue in honor and support of public safety professionals.
The Titus staff will serve lunch in Titus Funeral Home’s community room, 2000 E. Sherdian St., Warsaw, with open doors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17.
