Tippy Valley Starting Demo Phase Of HS Building Project

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation is starting the demolition phase of the high school building project.
Superintendent Blaine Conley told the Tippecanoe Valley School Board Thursday, during the board’s work session meeting, temporary fencing was put up Monday. Equipment and materials have been moved to the site. Demolition on some of the concrete on the north side of the auxiliary gym was started Thursday.
“We’re making progress. We’re getting everything lined up and ready to go. So, exciting times,” he said.
In other business, the board will be asked during its regular meeting Monday to approve:
• Several FFA trips, including trips to Columbia and LaFayette.
• Several donations, including $675 from Pike Lumbar Company for 3D printers for Akron Elementary, $500 from VanDuyne and Gravel for new books at Mentone and Akron elementaries, $228 from Athens Community Church for new books at Akron Elementary and $2,000 from Mill Creek Church for new books for the elementary schools.
