Tippy Valley Is TRC's Lone Unbeaten After Downing Southwood

AKRON — In a game of unbeaten Three Rivers Conference teams, the Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team prevailed.
With its 69-53 home win over Southwood Friday night, coupled with Manchester’s loss at Rochester, the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings sit as the lone unbeaten squad in the TRC at 4-0.
Southwood had been perfect in TRC play, but now sits at 3-1 in the conference, 7-4 overall.
In the win, Valley senior Nick Kindig and junior Tanner Andrews each scored 15 points, while sophomore Chainey Zolman and senior Jacob Ritchey each finished with eight.
At 11-2 overall, the Vikings travel to Manchester Friday for another TRC affair.

The loss is Wawasee’s seventh-straight, dropping the Warriors to 3-9 overall and 0-4 in the NLC. Wawasee returns to NLC play Friday at Concord.

Senior Stephen Bennett also had eight points and eight rebounds in the loss, which dropped Whitko to 2-11 overall and 0-4 in the TRC. Whitko is back in action tonight, hosting West Noble.
