The Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners has announced the theme of the 2014 LTPO Flotilla. This year’s theme is “Tippy A Go-Go.” Dan Drook, chairman of the flotilla, commented that “Tippy A Go-Go” represents an era of many memories for those of a certain age, and for those who want to investigate and experience the era. “Just think of the many ways a float can be decorated. Possibly a discotheque, a hot rod or the memorable points of interest around the lake area like the Tippy Dance Hall and the bands that played there,” Drook said. The flotilla will be launched from the Patona Bay Beach Resort July 5 at 1 p.m. and returning approximately at 2 p.m. when the winners will be presented their cash prizes. The Patona Bay Resort is located on the west side of Tippecanoe Lake. Spectators can watch the flotilla begin and end at the Patona Bay Resort.
