I read a letter in the paper a while back about tipping your waitress in restaurants. The writer said something to the affect of "if you're not happy with your tips - get a real 'job.'" That made me feel sad.
I worked in food service for a year and a half as a hostess and found that the waitresses had a very hard job - carrying all the food to people and clearing the tables is very physically demanding, and you're on your feet constantly.
This would probably only be a "fun" job to someone who only did it one day a week. I felt very blessed to be that person. It was a fun job for me, and thank you to Wayne Brown for giving me that wonderful opportunity.
I "tip" my hat and say a big thank you to everyone who "waits" on me.
