Tippecanoe Valley Track Teams Sweep Culver Community

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley’s track teams wrapped up their regular seasons by sweeping visiting Culver Community Thursday night, with the Lady Vikings taking an 89-30 win and the boys winning 82-40. Lexi O’Connell was a double winner for Valley, taking the 100 hurdles and 200 dash. Other winners for the Lady Vikings were Sarah Tucker in the 100, Makayla Ruiz in the shot, Gabby Olson in the long jump, Alyssa Brito in the 400, Olivia Smith in the high jump and Cora Alber in the discus. Haley Hoover ran uncontested in the 1600 and 3200, and the Lady Vikings won all three relay races. In the boys competition, Josh Back was a double winner in the 1600 and 3200. Jared Mikel won the 110 hurdles, Justin Peconga the high jump, Neil Clampitt the long jump, Jordan Owens the 800, and Jameson Baker the discus. Valley also won the three relay races. The teams open postseason competition Tuesday at the Three Rivers Conference meet Tuesday at the Indiana Wesleyan University campus in Marion. Valley At Southwood Postponed Again WABASH – For the second time this week, the Three Rivers Conference softball game between visiting Tippecanoe Valley and Southwood was postponed due to wet grounds. The game is now scheduled for May 13.
