Tippecanoe Valley Livestock Skillathon Team Competed At Purdue UniversityWEST LAFAYATTE – The Tippecanoe Valley Livestock Skillathon team competed in the state contest at Purdue University on Saturday.
Team members had to take individual tests on breed identification (beef, sheep, swine, goats), livestock tool ID, meat cuts (beef, sheep and swine), quality assurance test, livestock industry test, wool judging, and hay judging and a meats placing class. Then team members had team activities on feed ID, keep/cull sheep class, another quality assurance test.
The team placed third in the state in the 4-H division.
Team members were Sydney Petersen, eighth high individual, Taylor Biddle, 10th high individual; Mallory Bowers, 12th high individual; and Chloe Hosteler, 16th high individual.
