Tippecanoe Valley Announces Building Trades Open House

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley High School’s Building Trades program, under the direction of instructor Wes Backus, will host an open house May 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. The open house will feature the home built for Bill and Kay Kelly, 5924 W. CR 850S, Claypool. The Kelly home is on the northeast side of Yellow Creek Lake, CR 850S, east of the old one-room school.To reach the Kelly home from Akron, take Ind. 14 east six miles to CR 600W. Turn north and proceed 2.5 miles to CR 850S. Turn east on CR 850S and the home is straight ahead on the north side of the road. From Mentone, take Ind. 25 five miles east to Palestine. Turn south on CR 600W and proceed 4.5 miles to CR 850S. Turn east on CR 850S and the home is straight ahead on the north side of the road. The public is invited to attend the open house and view the home constructed by the Building Trades students of Tippecanoe Valley High School.
