The Tippecanoe Environmental Lake and Watershed Foundation received a $5,000 grant from the NiSource Environmental Challenge Fund Thursday. The money will be used to purchase biologs, wetland plants and prairie grass for the Foundation's Hanna B. Walker/Henwood Creek restoration project on CR 650N, on the north side of Tippecanoe Lake. Pictured above are Bob Smith, the foundation president; Julia Van De Water, of NiSource public affairs; and Teresa Petro, foundation coordinator. The NiSource Environmental Challenge Fund is an employee-driven effort designed to preserve, enhance and protect natural resources in the company's service territory. For every dollar given by employees, NiSource shareholders give $1.50. Since 1995, more than $194,937 has been given to various projects in the state. Photo by Teresa Carrano, Times-Union
