NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF HEARING ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
THE FIRE PROTECTION TERRITORY EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND
FOR THE NORTH WEBSTER TIPPECANOE TOWNSHIP FIRE
PROTECTION TERRITORY
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Tippecanoe Township and the Town of North Webster, Kosciusko County, Indiana, that the Township Board of Tippecanoe Township and the Town Board of the Town of North Webster will consider at the Tippecanoe Township Office, 102 South Morton Street, North Webster, Indiana, at 7:00 p.m. on March 17, 2021, the establishment of a Fire Protection Territory Equipment Replacement Fund on behalf of the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Fire Protection Territory under the provisions of Indiana Code 36-8-19-8.5 for all uses as set out in Indiana Code 36-8-19-8.5
The tax will be levied on all taxable real and personal property within the taxing district and will not exceed $0.0333 per $100 of assessed valuation beginning with taxes due and payable in the year 2022 and thereafter, continuing until reduced or rescinded. Taxpayers appearing at such hearing shall have the right to be heard thereon. The establishment of the Fire Protection Territory Equipment Replacement Fund is subject to approval by the Department of Local Government Finance. The Participating Units of the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Fire Protection Territory are Tippecanoe Township and the Town of North Webster. The Provider Unit is Tippecanoe Township.
Within 30 days after the date of the adoption of the equipment replacement fund by the Tippecanoe Township Board and the North Webster Town Council, a Notice of Adoption will be published on behalf of Tippecanoe Township and the Town of North Webster.
Upon publication of the Notice of Adoption, ten (10) or more taxpayers in the taxing district may file a petition with the Kosciusko County Auditor no later than noon 30 days after the publication of the Notice of Adoption setting forth their objections to the proposed fund.
