Editor, Times-Union: The time to care ... is When it does NOT matter. If you wait UNTIL it matters ... it is too late.
There are many small and large issues that people do not care about, like tattoos, eyebrow stringing, unwarranted police break-ins. The list of issues is as limitless as the number of people being governed. But you might want to care about them all, because sooner than later an issue or belief that is your own may be at risk of being abused by the government.
Please take a small amount of time and decide if you want more Big Government or if you want a stronger smaller government. Then vote that way. If you vote for Big Government and get it, please do not complain.
