Tigers Second, Warriors Third At NLC Championships

DUNLAP — The fourth-ranked Northridge boys swim team won Saturday’s Northern Lakes Conference Championships at Concord, while Warsaw and Wawasee finished second and third, respectively. The Northridge Raiders won the meet 511.5 points, while Warsaw tallied 428 to finish second and Wawasee put up 314.5. Warsaw sophomore Spencer Davidson won the 100 breast in 59.67 seconds and finished second in the 100 fly. Also finishing second for the Tigers were sophomore Jayden Parrett (50 free, 100 back), junior Dean Katris (diving), its 200 medley relay (Parrett, Davidson, senior Caleb Snyder, freshman Matt Wildman) and its 200 free relay (Parrett, Davidson, Wildman), senior Andrew Thrasher). For Wawasee, senior Sebastian List tied Northridge freshman Seth Cripe for first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.66, while junior Zac Hershberger (100 breast) and its 400 free relay (freshman Logan Brugh, junior Luke Smith, List, Hershberger) also finished second. Warsaw is at Fort Wayne Snider and Wawasee is at East Noble Tuesday.
