The Tigers’ Pride Marching Band from Warsaw Community High School is moving on to regional competition Saturday.
The band received a gold rating for its performance at the Indiana State School Music Association District contest Sept. 29 at Homestead High School in Fort Wayne.
The gold rating qualifies the WCHS band for the regional level competition Saturday.
At regional, the Tigers’ Pride will be one of 14 bands competing for the opportunity to advance to state semi-finals and – beyond that – state finals in Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Marching Tigers’ show, “Songs from the Wood,” is based on the music of the ’70s progressive rock group Jethro Tull.
The band is under the direction of Mickey Ratliff and Emily Mikel.
