Tigers Get Senior Night Wins Over Wawasee, Concord

Warsaw’s boys track team celebrated Senior Night with Northern Lakes Conference wins over Wawasee (111-21) and Concord (78-54) Thursday night at Fisher Field.
First-place finishers for Warsaw were Ross Armey in the 110 and 300 hurdles, Lucas Cone in the pole vault, Jaceb Burish in the discus and Dylan Childers in the shot put. The 4x100 relay team of Rane Kilburn, Will McGarvey, Brandon Reinholt and Armey crossed the finish line first, as did the 4x400 relay team of Leytan Perry, Armey, Kilburn and Landan Perry.
Tigers finishing in second place were Trevor York in the 110 hurdles, Kilburn in the 100, Zeb Hernandez in the 1600, Landan Perry in the 400, Xavi Ramirez in the 800, McGarvey in the 200, Howett in the 3200, Brock Riley in the high jump, Kilburn in the long jump and John Svinarich in the shot.
Wawasee’s 4x800 relay team of Sam Griner, Spencer Hare, Ben Hoffert and Luke Griner won. The Warrior 4x100 relay team of Cole VanLue, Michael Katzer, Paul Mendoza and Alec Rosbrugh finished second.
Luke Griner was second in the 300 hurdles, Ramiro Medina was the runner-up in the pole vault, and Dylan Elpusan likewise in the discus.
Warsaw competes in the Franklin Central Showcase today, and travels to Northridge on April 21. Wawasee will travel to the North Side Relays in Fort Wayne on Saturday, then host Elkhart Memorial and NorthWood on April 21.
