Tigers Finish Third, Warriors Fourth In Boys Northern Lakes Conference Swimming

MIDDLEBURY – Wawasee sophomore Brady Robinson won the 200 individual medley at the Northern Lakes Conference swim meet Saturday at Northridge.
Warsaw finished third in the team race, and Wawasee was fourth. Northridge won the team title for the 18th consecutive year.
Robinson’s time of 1:56.12 set a new school record for the event. He also finished second in the 100 backstroke. The Warriors’ only other individual top-three finisher was Logan Brugh, who took third in the 500 freestyle. Brugh added a fourth-place finish in the 200 freestyle. Wawasee added a pair of third-place finishes in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
Warsaw’s Ethan Cook had a pair of second-place finishes in the 50 and 100 freestyle races. Matt Wildman was third in the 100 breaststroke and fourth in the 50 free, and Evan Borchers was fifth in the 100 butterfly. The Tiger 200 medley relay team finished second.
Warsaw will host a boys swimming sectional on Feb. 18 and 20. Wawasee will return to Northridge for the sectional there on the same dates.
