The seventh- and eighth- grade students at Edgewood and Lakeview middle schools are working as a team to raise money for the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.

The middle schools have been competing to see which school will sell the most “pink” shirts and raise the most donations.

Events are scheduled as follows:

At the Edgewood field Wednesday, there will be seventh- and eighth-grade football games between Edgewood and Lakeview.

The seventh-grade game will start at 4:30 p.m. with the eighth-grade game to follow.

Pink popcorn will be available for purchase.  There will be a raffle for the game balls. For a $1 fee, fans are invited to participate in skill challenges for a chance to kick a field goal.

There will be seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball games Thursday between the two schools. The seventh-grade matches begin at 4:30 p.m. with the eighth grade to follow.

The games will be at Edgewood. Pink popcorn will be available. Game balls will be available to be raffled and there will be skill challenges for a free serve.

Co-sponsors for these events will be the assistant principals and athletic directors for both middle schools. Tracy Horrell will lead the way for Edgewood. Matt Deeds will lead the charge for Lakeview.

All proceeds will be donated to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund.
