Tigers, Chargers Tie For First At Goshen Relays

   GOSHEN — The state rankings followed suit at Saturday’s Goshen Relays.
   In the Class A Division, the 11th-ranked Carroll and 12th-ranked Warsaw boys track and field teams drew a 91-91 tie for the championship.
   Included in the point total was a record-setting time in the 3200 relay, as Warsaw’s Ismael Calderon, Jacob Poyner, Ellis Coon and Spencer Rheinhardt won in 7:58.70.
   Also for Warsaw, wins were achieved by Tristan McClone, Nathan Kolbe, Gabe Furnivall and Ryan Goon in the 800 sprint medley (1:37.39), as well as Wyatt Jones, Rheinhardt, Poyner and Chad Goon in the 1600 relay (3:25.18).
   The Tigers’ 800 relay of Goon, Kolbe, McClone and Rheinhardt also finished second, as did Zack Rooney (high jump) and Poyner (1600).
   In Class B, Fairfield took home the title with 95 points, with Whitko finishing 10th (49) and Wawasee placing 13th (39).
   Whitko’s 1600 relay of Caleb Wilkinson, Brandon Nettrouer, Jordan Sims and Connor Stouder was second with a time of 3:31.09.
