NAPPANEE – Warsaw’s boys golf team lost a unique tiebreaker to Northridge, and both teams claimed a win over NorthWood in Northern Lakes Conference play Thursday. The Tigers and Raiders tied at 161 shots each, and the normal fifth-man tiebreaker didn’t change the outcome. Both teams played the No. 1 hole at McCormick Creek Golf Course, taking the four best scores to settle the tie. Northridge came out at even par, and Warsaw at three over. NorthWood posted a 175. Sam Yeager posted a 2-over par 38 for Warsaw, with Tim Rata carding a 41, Luke Delp a 42 and Michael Jensen a 43. Jacob Lalonde had a 45. The Warsaw JV won with a 171 to Northridge’s 197 and NorthWood’s 215. Luke Johnson shot a 49, Tommy Meier had a 41, Trent Rapp a 46, Chase Byron and Rob Sullivan had 47s and Cole Voss a 55. Warsaw will compete in the Culver Academies tournament at Mystic Hills Golf Club on Saturday.
