Warsaw's girls track team took the top two spots in both the 100 and 800 with strong individual performances. However, in the final team standings, it was Penn who ran away from the Tigers.
Warsaw opened its outdoor season by hosting the Kingsmen Thursday evening at Fisher Field and fell 85-47.
While the host Tigers were strong in the running events, the Kingsmen dominated the field events en route to the 38-point win.
In the five field events, Penn took first- and second-place finishes in four - discus, shot put, high jump and pole vault.
Warsaw's Mariel Land finished second in the long jump with a leap of 15-2-3/4.
In the running events, the Tigers took six first-place finishes, winning the 400 relay, 1600 relay, 3200 relay, 100, 200 and 800.
