Tickets are still available for the Sleepy Owl Supper Club annual community fundraiser. Last year’s event raised more than $5,000 for local charities. This year’s goal is $10,000. Proceeds from the event this year go to the Boomerang Backpack program, Lakeland Youth Center, Real 4 Kids and Women of Today. The two-day event starts Friday at the Syracuse Community Center where a dinner, cash bar and live consignment auction is planned with many items available. Entertainment will be provided by the Indy Duo and Dueling Pianos. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner is planned for 6:30 p.m. with entertainment and auction to follow. Tickets for dinner, entertainment and auction are $25. Saturday brings an 8 a.m. shotgun start for a golf outing at Maxwelton Golf Club. Four-person team entry fee is $275 and includes entry into the Friday night event at the community center. Hole-in-one prizes include a Jeep Wrangler, a $5,000 Sandals vacation package and airline tickets. Many more prizes for proximities also will be awarded. In addition, the first 100 golfers to arrive will receive a free club from Warrior Golf and a $10 Golfsmith gift card. Sponsors for the two-day fundraiser are Polywood, Buy-Rite, Precision Property Solutions and The Car Company. Tickets are available at Sleepy Owl Supper Club, or by calling 574-457-4840.
