WABASH – Three players from Tippecanoe Valley and two from Whitko were named to the Three Rivers All-conference girls basketball team Monday. Two other players from Manchester were named honorable mention.
The semistate champion Lady Vikings’ Anne Secrest was a unanimous selection among TRC coaches, who could not vote for their own players. She was voted the top player by all seven coaches eligible to vote for her.
Secrest was joined on the team by teammates Caylie Teel and Meredith Brouyette, and Whitko sophomores Aly Reiff and Brianna Cumberland.
The top-12 vote getters were named all-conference. The remainder of the team includes Claire Cromer and Sarah Puckett from 2A regional champion Wabash, and Alexa Holland and Becky Malchow from 3A regional champion Rochester. Payton Thomson and Arie Kennedy of Northfield and Southwood’s Brooke Elliot round out the squad.
Manchester’s Cierra Carter and Drew Thompson received votes from the conference coaches as well and were named honorable mention.
Other honorable mentions were Keaton Stesiak and Ali Larkin of Rochester, Jacklyn Peas of Northfield, Katie Stouffer and Haley Heath of Southwood, and Sammy Timms of North Miami.
