Three people suffered minor injuries Thursday when the truck they were in struck a tree along Ind. 15, north of CR 200S. The driver of the truck, Joel R. Spencer, 18, of Roanoke, told police he didn't know why the vehicle left the roadway but said the vehicle could have suffered a mechanical problem. Spencer suffered bleeding to his knee and passengers Nate A. Collins, 17, of Gaston, and Matthew Dennis, 16, Fort Wayne, suffered unspecified injuries. All three were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, for treatment. The 4:55 p.m. accident was investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
