Three Face Drug Charges

Three people were arrested at Hardee's in Warsaw on drug charges Sunday morning.

According to a report from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, police received an anonymous tip at approximately 10:30 a.m. of possible illegal drug activity in a vehicle in the parking lot.

When police arrived, they observed Coty Allen Prater, 21, of 903 Roy St., Winona Lake; Thomas Glenn Hursey, 21, of 5437 W. Turner Road, Claypool; and April Mae Prater, 29, of 9687 S. County Farm Road, Claypool; allegedly in possession of narcotics.

Coty Prater was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and dealing a controlled substance. He was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Hursey was booked into KCJ on a possession of methamphetamine charge and his bond was set at $2,000.

April Prater, who listed Hardee's as her employer on her booking sheet, was arrested for possession of a methamphetamine legend and theft. She was booked into KCJ on a $2,000 bond.

KCSD and Warsaw Police Department were at the scene while the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force assisted.

Woman Found Passed Out In Car

A Warsaw woman was taken to Bowen Center after she and her two children were found in a running car.

The car was found on High Street with the woman and a 3-year-old and an 11-month-old inside.

According to a report at the Warsaw Police Department, the woman was asleep inside the vehicle.

After the woman awoke, she allegedly made comments that caused police to have her committed to Bowen Center.

The children were released to family members.

Subway Reports Break-In

An employee at Subway, West Lake Street, Warsaw, reported someone entered the business and stole money from the cash register Saturday morning.

The report at the Warsaw Police Department stated $486.75 was taken from the register.

The incident remains under investigation.
