Posted
CLAYPOOL – Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three individuals on meth charges early this morning near Beaver Dam Lake.
Deputies responded to a 911 call of a possible burglary in progress at approximately 2:21 a.m. today in the 7000 block of West Northcrest Lane, Claypool, according to a KCSD press release.
Officers were provided with a description of the suspect vehicle, which was subsequently located stopped at the intersection of Hohman Lane and CR 900S.  Deputies approached the vehicle and immediately noted the strong odor associated with the production of methamphetamine. Inside the vehicle, officers found two one-pot method meth labs.
KCSD deputies immediately called for the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and took into custody the following individuals: Shane Wesley Hallstrom, 21, Akron; Ashton Phillips Krider, 20, Silver Lake; and Caitlin Olivia Heisler, 20, Claypool.
All three were preliminarily arrested and charged with felony manufacturing meth.  During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the original location of the potential burglary call was owned by Heisler’s parents.
All three suspects are currently being held without bond on a prosecutorial hold. KCSD and the Drug Task Force were also assisted by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office and the Indiana State Police.
