Two men and a woman will be seeking the District 2 county council seat at the Republican caucus Wednesday night. Councilman Jim Moyer resigned in September to take a new job as assistant county surveyor. His resignation was effective Sept. 28. The three eligible candidates for finishing Moyer’s term are Tom Anglin, Etna Green; Rhonda Miller, Nappanee; and Todd Anderson, Leesburg, according to an email this morning from Kosciusko County Republican Party Chairman Randall Girod. Moyer ran for surveyor in an Aug. 19 caucus to replace departing surveyor Richard Kemper, but lost to Michael Kissinger, who served as assistant surveyor under Kemper. Moyer served on the council for five years and was the Harrison Township trustee for 15 years prior to that. Wednesday’s caucus is at 7 p.m. in the county courthouse.
