Three Arrested on Drug Charges, More Possible

Three people in Kosciusko County were arrested overnight on drug charges, with more arrests possible.
According to a press release from the Warsaw Police Department, on Monday evening, Warsaw Police Narcotic officers performed a controlled purchase of heroin at 533 E. Market St., Warsaw, after receiving a tip of illegal drug activity at that location following an overdose.
The resulting investigation and subsequent search warrants seized approximately 5 grams of heroin and 100 grams of marijuana from the Warsaw location and also from a Syracuse residence. Three suspects were arrested and more arrests and charges are probable.
Shaun Hinson, 34, Akron, was charged with Class A felony enhancement for dealing in a schedule 1 controlled substance, and felony possession of marijuana.
Nicholas Richcreek, 27, Syracuse, is charged with Class A felony enhancement for dealing in a schedule 1 controlled substance, and possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance.
Debbie Watson, 36, Warsaw, is charged with Class A felony enhancement for dealing in a schedule 1 controlled substance, and possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance.
The charges were enhanced to Class A felonies due to the suspects illegal drug activity occurring across the street from Fribley Field and Richardson-DuBois Park, which host youth football and cheerleading leagues.
Warsaw Police were assisted by the Syracuse Police Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
According to the release, “Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of illegal drugs in our community by being aggressive toward the use, manufacture and possession of illegal drugs. Any drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9540.”
