Three Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Into Home And Stealing TV RemotesA trio accused of breaking into a home and stealing TV remotes are facing burglary charges.
Sharon Marie Jackson, 41, of 716 W. Center St., apt. B, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 8:27 p.m. April 30 and charged with burglary, a Level 4 felony; residential entry, a Level 6 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.
Debra Lynn Lackey, 39, of 1210 Hilltop Ave., #6, Warsaw, was booked in KCJ at 8:27 p.m. April 30 and charged with the same charges as Jackson except for possession of marijuana.
Joshua Allan Miller, 32, listed as homeless in Warsaw, was booked in KCJ at 8:44 p.m. April 30 and charged with the same crimes as Lackey.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Thursday in Kosciusko Superior Court I, on April 30 Warsaw police were dispatched to a home in reference to a burglary in progress after a caller said a woman broke the window, entered and let two other people inside.
The caller told police the people arrived in a green pickup truck. Upon arrival, police saw the pickup in the driveway, according to court papers and found the trio inside.
Lackey claimed to have had permission to be in the home and said she used to live there.
However, according to the affidavit, police called the homeowner, who was in the hospital, and he said no one was allowed to be there.
Jackson allegedly admitted to police she used a grill fork to break the window then let everyone else inside.
In Miller’s pockets, police allegedly found three remotes for televisions in the home.
Miller told police Lackey had told him to get the remotes, along with tools and food, and put them in a bag and that’s what he was doing when the cops showed up, according to the affidavit.
Inside the pickup, police located several backpacks and a bag of marijuana. According to the affidavit, Jackson admitted the marijuana was hers and all three denied owning a backpack that contained 10 syringes that tested positive for heroin.
Jackson and Miller’s bonds were set at $15,250. Lackey’s bond was set at $5,250.
