NORTH MANCHESTER - Thomas W. Platt, 62, North Manchester, died at 5:10 p.m. Nov. 25, 2010, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Oct. 16, 1948, in Huntington, to Roy and Ruth Switzer Platt. On Oct. 25, 1969, he married Charlene J. Langston, who died Feb. 24, 1990. On Nov. 30, 1991, he married Paula J. Kerschner, who survives.
He was a physician's assistant at Manchester Clinic and South Whitley Medical Clinic, and later he was a medical supply salesman. He graduated from Huntington High School and Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in Vietnam.
Also surviving are a son, Wade T. Platt, North Manchester; a daughter, Lynette (and spouse Vinson) Calloway, South Whitley; a brother, John (and spouse Marilyn) Platt, Roanoke; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with the Rev. Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
